About us

Who we are
Mamisitotamowin Connections was born out of a knowing that real change doesn’t come from policies alone, but from people who care. We’re an Indigenous-led firm that helps businesses, industry, and governments build relationships with Indigenous communities in a way that’s rooted in integrity, trust, and long-term accountability.
Our work goes beyond consulting. We walk alongside Nations, supporting them in defining their own paths, and hold power in their partnerships. And we support external partners to do better by building internal structures that make space for true collaboration, not just compliance.

What we do is relational — rooted in emotional truth and guided by lived experience. These insights guide strategic partnerships in that centers around Indigenous sovereignty.

Our story
Mamisitotamowin Connections was founded by Ryan Merasty, a member of Keeseekoowenin Ojibway First Nation. Merasty’s extensive work history both within community and for industry inspired his desire to address the ongoing need in communication, trust, and relationship building between Nations and external partners. As a First Nation member, Merasty’s perspective guides his expertise in bridging Indigenous Traditional Knowledge and partnership with Industry.
The Mamisitotamowin Connections team includes passionate individuals whose experience across areas like economic development, finance, and communications helps provide different perspectives in building solid partnerships. Our team’s approach redefines how organizations collaborate with Indigenous communities—working towards long-term and mutually beneficial relationships.

Our vision
Bridging connections between Indigenous communities and businesses to build a world where trust, collaboration, and mutual respect drive lasting social and economic growth.
